Detective Fang
A downloadable game
Detective Fang in: The Furrious Case of Hopewell Springs pits you against the very notion of crime as the titular ace detective, who is always on the case and never wastes time with stupid crap that doesn't matter (like 'solving crimes'. Who even does that?)
Every great detective knows to go into a case with a three-step plan;
Contact with your partner, who left on a mission to investigate an unknown cult's sudden rise in power, has gone dark. Only by interacting with the zany and charming cast of characters will you unravel the truth of what's going on in Hopewell Springs. And maybe, just maybe, you'll uncover who's behind the mysterious disappearances plaguing the town.
As you take Notes of the denizens and grill suspects for information, you'll unravel the solutions to zany puzzles (with help from the elusive PUZZLE MASTER!! if you're stuck). Through grit and practicing poor gun safety, you'll make this world into your oyster - clam and all! (Don't ask me what that means)
Finally, after a case is closed, you get to go back and see your family. This is not the case for Detective Fang, whoever, who has no time for crap like 'family' or 'hobbies' or doing anything other than monologuing and waving his gun around, really.
The bizarre mix of influences from games ranging from 'Harvester' to 'Sam & Max' will entice you and leave you craving more - of which there is none, because this game was made in 2 weeks for the Pirate Software Game Jam 14.
